Some candles are simply something you light. Others become part of a moment you look forward to: a quiet evening, a freshly tidied room, or a little time that belongs just to you.
That’s what I love about making luxury candles. A beautiful vessel, a thoughtfully chosen fragrance, and the pleasure of bringing them into your home. Something lovely to give, or to keep.
From antique glass to a love of candle making
When I started, I just wanted to make an affordable candle to add a little interest to my antique glass shop. I didn’t plan on taking it this far!
I’ve always loved beautiful things, especially glass. As I learned more about candle making, I became just as interested in what went inside the vessel as in how it looked on the shelf.
That curiosity led me to higher-end materials and fragrances, and eventually to the luxury candles I make today.
The details are the difference
For me, a luxury candle starts with choices: the vessel, the wax, the fragrance, and the wick. Each is part of the finished candle, and each deserves attention.
The vessel is part of your décor, not just a container. The fragrance is something you’ll invite into your space. I choose these materials with the person who will enjoy the candle in mind, because those details are the reason to make something special in the first place.
My early experiments with inexpensive jars also taught me that appearance alone wasn’t enough. When some broke during burning, I knew I needed to rethink my vessel choices. Safety wasn’t something I was willing to compromise on to keep costs down.
What goes into a luxury candle’s price?
If you’ve ever wondered why a luxury candle costs more, I understand. Before I started making them, I wondered the same thing.
The biggest part of the answer is the materials. The vessels, wax, fragrances, and wicks I use for these candles cost more, and as a small business, I don’t have the buying power of a large operation.
A higher price doesn’t simply mean a larger profit. It reflects a greater investment in the candle itself. I work to balance those costs with a price that makes sense for my customers and allows me to keep making the products I love.
But you don’t need to know my pricing math to choose a candle. What matters is finding one whose fragrance, style, and feel make it worth bringing into your home.
A thoughtful gift, or a treat just for you
A luxury candle is a lovely choice for someone who enjoys fragrance, beautiful interiors, or the simple pleasure of making home feel special.
Think of a birthday gift, a thank-you for a generous host, or something chosen for the friend who always notices the little details. A beautiful vessel gives the gift a personal touch: you can choose it with their style in mind.
And you don’t have to wait for an occasion. Sometimes the reason is simply, “I love this, and I’d enjoy having it in my home.” That counts, too.
Choose what brings you joy
I love a beautiful luxury candle. I also love a little mason jar candle that smells like cake! LOL. One doesn’t cancel out the other.
Our luxury candles, priced at $49.95 and up, are for those moments when you want something a little more special. They won’t be everyone’s everyday candle, and they don’t have to be.
I’m also working toward a larger, mid-range candle, because I want to offer beautiful things at a variety of price points. In the meantime, these luxury candles are a part of the business I genuinely love creating.
If you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or a little luxury of your own, take a look at our luxury candles. Choose a vessel that catches your eye and a fragrance that sounds like your kind of evening.
Thank you for supporting my small business and the care that goes into what I make. I hope you find something you’re excited to bring home.
